What is the OSRR?
- The OSRR provides an easy way to "surf" from one orthopedic surgery residency program to another. Through navigation links found most often at the bottom of member pages, visitors can travel to all or any of the sites in the ring. They can move through the ring in either direction, going to the next or previous site, or listing the next or previous five sites in the ring. They can also jump to a random site in the ring, or survey all the sites that make up the ring. It is an excellent way for prospective medical students to gather information and compare different programs.
- Joining the ring allows member sites to be just a couple mouse clicks away from the most up to date orthopedic search engines, teaching sites, and internet resources. It also allows residents, students, and other professionals to find and utilize educational resources provided by other programs.
- Members of the ring are listed in the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Ring List of Sites. The list comes complete with descriptions for each site. These details are controlled by individual members and can be changed easily at anytime. This allows a convenient way to surf residency sites based on descriptions alone.
- The ring is a free service and joining only requires a simple HTML code and graphic addition to your existing web page. If your web site changes or moves, you can update the ring instantly at anytime through a convenient edit form.
The requirements?
- You manage a web site for an official Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program.
- You place the appropriate graphics and code fragment on either your Ortho Department's main page or your Ortho Residency information page.
